The Blue Jay is one of the few pets in Grow a Garden that can be acquired from the Season 1 Pass.

Both the Blue Jay and the Season 1 Pass were released as part of the Seed Stage update. And while you may be on a quest to collect all of the pets, the Blue Jay will be a perfect fit for Berry-focused gardens.

Blue Jay
Tier: TBA
Obtainable: Yes
Source: Tier 2 in Season 1 Pass
Hunger: 1,500
Trait: All Berry-type plants grow faster.

How to get the Blue Jay

To get the Blue Jay, you’ll need to reach Tier 2 in the Season 1 Pass. To do this, simply complete quests listed on the Season 1 Pass to earn XP and reach the next tier. Depending on what quests you have available, the time this takes may vary, but generally, this shouldn’t take too long – perhaps just two day’s worth of quests depending on which ones you can complete.

Whilst there is a track that contains rewards for those who buy it, you can earn the Blue Jay for free.

If you do pay for the Premium rewards however, you’ll also acquire the Rainbow Blue Jay when reaching Tier 2. This is the same pet, but with the Rainbow mutation applied to it, which will boost the effectiveness of the pet’s passive ability.

Blue Jay traits

The Blue Jay is fairly straightforward as far as its trait goes, simply making it so that all Berry-type plants grow faster – great if you want to build a farm with a focus on this particular type of plant.
