I am clearing out an overgrown garden is PA and started pulling this before I noticed the purple stem. I was wearing gloves but short sleeves. Is it toxic through skin contact? Anything I need to do other than wash my skin with soap and water?

This appears to be neither, but I’m not sure what it is! Hopefully someone recognizes it!
I believe it is wormwood, Artemisia absinthium
Mugwort? I’m in Pa too and it’s invasive
There’s a very good article called “Poison Hemlock vs Queen Anne’s Lace, How to Tell the Difference” on The Spruce website. (thespruce.com)
I think that’s Poison Hemlock, and you need to protect yourself while removing it.
Possibly a type of green elderberry
Definitely not queen Anne’s lace – by the red streaks I am going to say poison hemlock
Compare with [Common ragweed (Ambrosia artemisiifolia)](https://blogs.cornell.edu/weedid/field-crops/common-ragweed-ambrosia-artemisiifolia/)
Y’all. That’s ragweed.
