This time, I’m here to ask why the heck my new leaves are coming through already crispy before they’ve even opened up!? And some have opened up really wrinkly or growing weird like folded in on themselves.. does this mean the root system has gone awol or what’s happened here? Surely new leaves shouldn’t already be crispy before they’ve even opened up into the world ! But I cannot find ANYTHING about this when searching for it.

100% humidity related if she doesn’t have at least 70% humidity at all times. If she does, it could be related to how consistently she’s watered. Other explanations could be a cool draft/draft in general is nearby, or she’s getting a smidge too much light.

If you swear up and down she’s being watered properly, it could be that the bottom of the soil is remaining *too* moist.

ETA: sometimes pests can do this kind of damage, too, but you’d usually see mottled leaves or some other kind of damage, so I’m on the fence about saying this is a pest issue.
