THANE: Thane district administration will now coordinate with the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) and other agencies involved in ongoing projects on Ghodbunder Highway in a bid to improve traffic flow along the crucial roadway. District collector Shrikrishna Panchal said the administration was prioritising the prompt completion of existing infrastructure works in the region to ensure smoother movement of vehicles. He said the restoration of service roads along the highway was a priority. “We will ensure the barricading of heavy vehicles on extreme left lanes or install height barriers to deter heavy vehicles from infringing into these lanes,” Panchal told the media.
