When photographer Ida Halliday and artist James Willebrant were looking for a new home, and new garden project, they set their sights on Morpeth.

They brought with them from the Blue Mountains to their historical cottage not only new ideas but also transplanted plants.

As Ida tells the ABC’s Scott Bevan, the Morpeth move is somewhat of a return for her, as she went to university in Newcastle, and her landlady was an artist famous for her still life paintings – especially of plants.
