This is my first orchid to re-bloom. It was blooming back in February when I bought it from Lowes. It’s has two new growths since then and one put out two flowers. I can’t wait till the fragrance kicks in.

This is just the beginning as B. nodosa like this can and will develop multiple leads aka new growths so you can expect and explosion of flowers in the future. Good luck and enjoy!

I’m also new to getting brassavolas to bloom, and I can tell you that they do indeed wait until night to be fragrant. I’ve heard that they generally won’t be fragrant unless they get actual darkness, and I think there’s something to that. So if yours isn’t yet, might wanna see if you can darken the room more at night.

    Congrats, btw. Beautiful flowers.

So looking forward to when mine bloom again. I have one with cream and butter yellow flowers and another with really vibrant magenta ones. The last flower just detached and I’m missed their flowers SO much right already. It looks like I’m growing sticks. 😅

They’re kind of seasonal with some variation but twice a year is common but you never know as you might get lucky with more.

Great work! Lovely plant, too. I might have to get one… 🙂
