I’m in Porto Portugal on vacation and was walking around Jardim da Cordoaria with my family, and noticed that almost all of the trees in one area of the park have what look like burls at their base. Maybe 15 out of 20 trees lining a promenade in the park alongside the road Campo dos Mártires da Pátria. What am I looking at?
