LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) – The Gregg County Master Gardeners Plant Sale is Saturday, Sept. 27 at the Longview Arboretum and Nature Center.

Plant Sale Chairman Laurie Brown says the sale includes bulbs and established plants; annuals and perennials; and includes everything from full sun plants to native plant selections to ground covers and ornamental grasses.

“It’s pretty much the whole gamut of plant possibilities, anything that you would be looking for to put in your own garden,” she said.

All plants are grown at the homes of these master gardeners in East Texas, and all the proceeds go towards scholarship funds for local students looking to pursue an agriculture career.

The sale begins at 9 a.m. Saturday and will go until all the plants are sold. The master gardeners encourage those interested to get there early because plants go quick. Prices range from $5-$15. There will be an info table guests can visit to learn more about which types of plants would grow best in their yards, as well as multiple local vendors from the area with products for purchase.
