I assume it'll have to be a bit away from the fence so it doesn't eat the neighbors' back yards or impact the fence. All the other plants are ideas. This is my first year owning a home. I want a little more privacy and life in the yard.

Sketch 1: tree in center, maybe feels a bit too central?
Sketch 2: tree on right, may be annoying taking equipment out of shed
-picture of yard now
-landscaping inspiration pic for the style I like

All opinions welcomed! Thanks for the help.

1 is perfect IF you add the planned green mass in the far right corner. It does the most to increase privacy and offers nooks to explore. 2 looks like you’re intentionally preserving the neighbors’ overlook.

I like the 2nd one much better. More pleasing to look at. I barely noticed the other garden stuff in the 1st one bc the tree was all my eyes saw.

  3. I like the second picture. It seems more balances. And I wonder if in the future you might add a darker green evergreen by the fence, between the two yo give the impression you live on the edge of a forest.

1 as it would spread out. Just plant it slightly right of center. The tree and the right looks like it’s spreading too
