I do and then I gift them. Spread the love.

I love a spider baby skirt!! When I moved I had to rehome most of my plants but I had a spider plant that was massive. I only took babies off when someone asked for some.

I only take them off to give them to someone that wants them. I love seeing the fullness of big plants with big skirts.

If you keep them long enough you’ll start getting grandbabies

I don’t like taking them off either. I sometimes water prop a couple while they’re still attached to the mother plant so if anyone ever wants a baby or two, they’re ready to pot and go. Plus I figure if a couple are getting their own water and a little bit of hydro fertiliser they’re less draining for the mother to support them all, and it just seems kinda cool/interesting to me I guess as it’s kinda what would happen in the wild 😅

    It’s like it has a mullet 😂

I never get the babies. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Any advice! IF I had them I’m sure I’d leave some and plant some?

What type of water do you give to it? It looks so good. I was advised to only water mine with distilled water but it’s getting too expensive 😭

I can’t even have these anymore because the cats eat them

At some point their attachment to the mother plant turns yellow and the babies don’t get nutrition so you have to take them off . But you’ll be able to tell! And o use tap water , never a problem . In a corner between a north and east window , doing well an DDS one of the few plants that does not seem to get all the nasty plant bugs ( thrips, scale, gnats etc) that my other houseplants get . But I didn’t say that outloud, don’t want to jinx anything

I’d love to do that but I’m limited on space, so Muffet is on a stem ban. Otherwise she’s gonna overgrow the rest of my plant shelf 😅

She *did* hide one from me by growing a stem behind the shelf.

Am I the only one who finds spider plants a little creepy? It’s a totally irrational fear of my plant hurling a new baby plant out. I wish I didn’t feel this way cause they are beautiful plants.

I miss having spider plants. I had a big beautiful bastard… but then my cat took interest in it out of the blue and chewed it down to little nubs.

    RIP Peter the Plant! 🌱
