The family wants me to try my hands at hot peppers next year. Any suggestions? Yellow monkey face, chocolate habaneros, and scotch bonnet peach are on the list so far. ๐
Lucky! We plant them at least every other year and nothing ๐

Some type of Thai chile is really nice to have around because itโs versatile in cooking and doesnโt add much texture but just heat and flavor also can make chili paste type things. Serrano is nice too and versatile. A lot of people have issues with scotch bonnets not producing much so maybe try to find a type that says it does well. My favorite hot pepper I grew was the Carolina reaper but I love the taste of those. Hard to find a use for all that heat but fermenting blended ones into a sort of hot sauce and using them in pasta sauces where the oil or butter dulls the heat was great
