Hey guys, I just want to show you the progress of my little container okra garden. Uh last week we had a hail storm. So it knocked off a lot of the leaves and killed some of my plants. Uh but I I want to show you. Look, today I actually have a flower. I can’t wait for it to open up because when it opens up, that’s when it will start to develop into the okra pod. So, the flowering part is the actual okra pod. Okay? So, after it flowers, within a few days, that’s harvest time. That’s when you go and take off your okra before the animals and human animals get it. I had a a little garden once before. It was a community garden and there was a lady who uh was going into my garden. She was beating me first thing in the morning to get my okra. My mother warned me. She said, “You better go and get your okra before the animals get it.” Well, it turned out to be a human animal. and she had a knife, a very sharp knife, and she knew how to take the okra pod off of the plant. Yeah, it’s, you know, this is trial and error. This area of Colorado that I’m in is very, very dry. And uh even though we had our monsoon season which meant that it rained almost every day um this is grown by seeds and I planted my seeds way back in April and this is how how high they got. I mean it’s not very and this is potting soil. It might not be the right acidic acidity. I think um okra grows better in like a sandy type soil, but nonetheless, I have I have a bud. I have a plant. I have a flower right here, guys. So, and it rained last night. It actually rained last night. It seems like my my um okra and my strawberries seem to prefer rainwater. So, rain water as opposed to the chlorinated, you know, city water. So, wish me luck, guys. I’ll talk to you later. Bye-bye.
