FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – In Fargo, there is the Garden of Healing. A place to remember our loved ones who have passed away.

There’s a new way to honor your loved ones with the “Healing Hotline.” Some people refer to it as a “Phone of the Wind.” The phone lets you “call” your loved ones who have passed and lets you connect with them in a unique way.

“Maybe someone has passed away and it’s their birthday, or there’s something that you want to remember and you wish that you could tell them. Sometimes it could be people that haven’t talked to someone, a friend, or a family member for a long time, and that relationship is broken. Here, they can just talk through the phone. It’s a release of emotions,” said Garden of Healing Co-Founder Sarah Fisher.

In addition to the hotline, the garden is raising funds for its phase two expansion. The plan is to expand garden space, add a medicine wheel, and water elements.

“We’re hoping that with in-kind donations and people who just really feel that this is important to have in our area, they will step forward and help us complete that. We’re really excited to see what’s to come, and we’re just getting started with finishing the rest of phase two.”

The phone is free to use during park hours.
