This was my first time growing a loofah gourd and I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am about this. And yes, you heard right, a loofah, the kind that you buy in the store, but I grew it from a seed. How amazing is that? In the beginning of the video, I was shaking my lofah. And when I did my research, they said once your lofah is brown, it’s dried on the vine, and you hear the seeds rattling inside, it’s time to go ahead and harvest it, it’s time to go ahead and pull that dry skin off to remove the lofah. Once I did that, I was banging the lofah on the table into a small container so I can catch the seeds. There were still more seeds trapped inside, but that’s good because I still need to let it sit out for a little bit because it still had some moisture inside of it. And you want your lofah to be dry. After it’s dried, I will make sure to sanitize it, cut it up in pieces. I’m just so excited about all of the many possibilities I can do and use this lofah for.
