Eleven years after the hit series premiered on Cartoon Network, Over the Garden Wall is getting its first ever set of collectibles. Mondo has announced that they’ll be releasing the first officially licensed collectibles based on Patrick McHale’s beloved series, which will hit shelves this week as a part of their Mondo Squads line.
The special release includes a figure set of Wirt and Greg as they appear in the episode Chapter 1: The Grist Mill, featuring swappable heads, arms, and accessories for both brothers. The regular edition, retailing for $95 USD, also features details like candy, rocks, and a miniature model of Jason Funderberker the frog for Greg, and alternate capes for Wirt, as well as removable versions of their iconic hats. The Mondo exclusive edition, which retails for $135 USD, also features a model of Beatrice the bird, as well as the menacing dog that appears in episode one.
The figure set is just the first of several to be released in Mondo’s Over the Garden Wall line. Future sets will include characters from other episodes, including the iconic Pottsfield Pumpkin People, as well as other exclusive limited edition figures.
Additionally, Mondo is releasing a special version of the soundtrack to the series, as composed by The Blasting Company. Retailing for $35 USD, the vinyl record comes in a special “potatoes and molasses” colorway (aka white and brown), with a gatefold sleeve featuring art by Sam Wolfe Connelly and a special booklet featuring lyrics and other unique goodies. Tracks on the album include “Into the Unknown,” “Shine On Harvest Moon,” and of course, “Potatoes and Molasses.”
