    It’s like a freckle. Or remanence of feathers, depends what black spot you are speaking of

    Is it only on the skin, or is it in the meat underneath as well? If it’s just the skin, is it only on one layer of the skin/darker on the underside than from the outside that we’re looking at in the picture? I don’t know how skin pigment works in chickens but it’ll help rule some stuff out if you can see how deep it runs.

    The spot on the breast? It’s weird that it’s at the feather root, makes me think just part of a feather. All the other spots at the base of a feather as well?

    Black feathers have almost an ink like goo on pinfeathers. It’s just ruptured under the skin in this photo. It’s fine.
