I looked it up and it said it was black nightshade but the leaves seem different (soft and frilled)

    I think it’s Solanum physalifolium (Hoe Nightshade / Argentine Nightshade). I cannot find much info on this, so i can’t confirm how safe it is, although my guess is safe at fully ripe like american black nightshade (solanum americanum) but i would not eat.

    It’s definitely a variety of nightshade. I’d avoid consuming it.

    Those leaves are too simple and fuzzy for Solanum nigra so no eaty
