We moved during the summer & it took over a month for us to setup our raised beds. Once we got the pre-sprouted dahlias in their homes, 30% of them died from the heatwave, weevils, or something else. 🥲 Then the ones that did make the transfer were stunted & still haven’t bloomed!! Bought so many florist tubers for this wedding only for so many of them to die. 😭
I was so worried I wouldn’t have enough dahlias for her bouquet. Thankfully the previous owners planted hydrangeas! Lost a lot of structural foliage & secondary flowers in the move. Was really disappointed but the bride absolutely loved them!! It was my first time ever putting together a bouquet so I know it needs a lot of work, but I’m so happy she was happy with them. 😭
