Is this okay ontop of homemade apple cider vinegar??


It’s still in the fermenting process so the apples are still in there but ontop of all of them I not have this thick white film, is it safe??

    It looks like kahm yeast to me. Not harmful but tastes horrible. There isn’t a way to save it once this happens.

    I make fermented feed for my flock and it looks like this on the second day. I’ve never made vinegar, on purpose, so don’t know how it compares. However, my flock goes ape shit for the fermented feed so I doubt this will bother yours either.
