What's going on here? She's outside and will soon come in for the winter. When I first saw this I thought it might be spider mites, because there was webbing visible and I could see some tiny spiders on the bottom of the leaves so I still think that was at least part of it. I sprayed with a solution neem oil and a little castile soap and now I can't find any more mites or webs. But the thing that is confusing me is the stippling has gotten worse since then. Could it be temperature related? It's getting in the mid 60s at night. I don't want to bring it in if it still has spider mites! 😬

    edema.

too much water. this happens when the plant takes up more water than it can transpire and the cells burst, happens easily on new leaves.

cut back on the watering, wait till the soil dries a bit more.
