My cacti and succulents live in a home-made mix of pumice, perlite, zeolite, gravel, volcano lava and just a little bit of soil:) The more organic material (i.e. soil) you have, the longer it takes for the mix to dry out after watering. And Lithops do not like to sit in moist conditions for too long, which could lead to root rot. Need to be careful here. Please repot these little dudes as soon as possible! This soil mix is not good for them. As for the pot – it needs to have drainage holes for excess water runoff. Unglazed terracotta “breathes” and leads to faster moisture evaporation, plastic, on the other hand, does not. The choice depends on your specific conditions (how arid your climate is).

Pumice stones are very good, charred rice husk, crushed charcoal
