My Monstera has been looking like this for… maybe 2 weeks now. Does anyone know what it could be, and how to treat it? I thought it was root rot, but the roots seem to be okay…

I water it by giving her a good rinse in my shower, every time I feel the soil being dry with my finger. I let the pot drain all the excess water, then put it back in my room (it's mainly a shaded corner, it doesn't get much light there. I used to move it right in front of a sunny window every morning, but ever since it began displaying these "symptoms", I've left it in its shaded corner).

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated! 💚

The leaves are covered in thrips 😬

  2. Absolutely drenched in thrips. Give it a shower to knock most of them off then spray with insecticidal soap periodically. You will be incredibly lucky if you manage to get rid of them

Isolate and treat – use systemics if you have the option. Check all other plants as well.

Zoom in…those thrips are really bad. I’d honestly get rid of that whole plant and start over with a new one
