I have a few trees that look like this on my property. They stand until they don’t anymore. We had one come down last week with no warning or apparent cause. One minute it’s upright and the next it just crashes down without any wind.
If it’s your cabin get it taken down asap. If it isn’t then alert the owner and stay there at your own risk. It isn’t as heavy as a full tree with living/recently dead wood so it most likely won’t make it through to the inside of the cabin if it falls on a structure that is well built though
brutus_the_bear
Pretty much ready to come down on it’s own any day. Luckily it doesnt have any leaves to let the wind blow it but it’s just a matter of time.

Fuck me, that looks bad. You should have dealt with it yesterday!
I have a dead tree 2 feet from my cabin that I am stressed about, but it’s nothing compared to what you have posted. My tree is coming out of a deck and in the danger zone of my cabin and the neighbors. Talked to a couple people and said it should be done in the winter to minimize damage of the deck, unable to climb or bring heavy equipment to it

That trees already fallen, it just doesn’t know it yet

Some people fly to Thailand to have unprotected sex with sex workers. Some people climb Mt. Everest. Some people don’t wear a seatbelt. Some people sleep under this tree.
I choose not to live that close to the edge.
