What would you plant here to give a pop of color that would be low maintenance? Charlotte NC zone 8A. Looking for something I can plan once and will keep coming back. Thank you!

  1. Pull out what you have there, Mini jap maple in front of window, boxwoods (3-4) along side walk….basically less is more

  2. **Shrubs:** Abelia, azaleas, boxwood, camellias, gardenias, and rhododendrons.

**Perennials & Groundcovers:** Hosta, agapanthus, carex, dianthus, sedum, and succulents.

I’d sprinkle tons of wild flower seeds and see what happens 🙂

A few pavers and a bench in front, dwarf shrubs and some ground cover all around that.

Well it depends on who died in that outline. What kind of flowers did he/she like? They appear to be tall, maybe sunflowers?

Id put a line of small boxwoods, a weeping Japanese maple in the center and coral bells.

Consider the full front profile and broader architecture instead of designing a vignette. This is typical of this diy sub.

Adding grass would definitely give it a nice frame to the hedge. You are in a climate where Zoysia Sod would thrive there

Based on the shape of the outline, a dead body
