Back in July it was basically growing in its old roots inside the rotted basket. I cut off old dried up pseudo bulbs and cut off about half off or more of the bottom old root mass and gave it a new octagonal basket. It didn’t affect it blooming at all. It usually gives 6 blooms per spike but they’re decent size and last a couple of months or more.
It blooms off and in most of the year. Seasons don’t seem to matter. Each new growth blooms whenever. The leaves are stiff and extremely thick. The tips can practically poke you. If given more sun they turn purplish. They can take a lot if sun but also don’t mind shadier locations and will still bloom but leaves revert to green.
