Butte Garden Club to meet Wednesday

The Butte Garden Club will meet at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the Butte-Silver Bow Archives, 17 W. Quartz St. Guests and non-garden club members are invited.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive at 5:30 p.m. for refreshments and treats and meet other gardeners.

There will be three presentations, including Krystal Weilage, director of the Native Plant Greenhouse at Montana Technical University. Her program, “Flower Power,” helps to make the connection between her native flowers and the positive effect they have on gardeners.

Brayton Erickson of the Butte Rescue Mission will talk about how the vegetable gardens at the Mission are often used to help restore the lives of clients.

Also, Norm DeNeal will share, with illustrations, why September is the time to purchase and plant spring blooming bulb plants.

For more details, email or call DeNeal at denealnorman@gmail.com or call 406-723-6656.
