kitchengardens

From berries and edible flowers to pumpkins and grains, you’ll find something to delight you all year round in the Kitchen Garden.

A walled haven with a 350-year history, this is a thriving, productive space where local community groups meet, garden, get creative and feel at ease. It’s also where they grow a broad range of produce for sale and for donation to local food charities.

With diverse seasonal planting, new plants blooming and harvesting taking place at least nine months of the year, no week is ever the same in the Kitchen Garden. They are constantly evolving to adapt to the community’s needs and responding to the impact of climate change. By investing in the future of this 17 century space, we will ensure it remains a useful, welcoming, sustainable and beautiful place to visit for generations to come.
