It sucks. Make sure to check all your nightshades, not just the maters. This past week I’ve noticed my potato leaves were disappearing but I couldn’t find the culprit(s). Last night I found one. This morning I found another. My tomatoes look fine but the sweet peppers have been attacked by hornworms too. I celebrated when I found one with wasp cocoons on it on a pepper plant.

Check the bottom of the leafs that where you’ll find the small barely seeable baby caterpillars and if so spray whole plant top, bottom and side to side wit BT.

I’m sorry about the tomatoes. The upside is the photographs are beautiful, like a children’s book come to life!

I have Army Worms! 😡 Horn worms are bad too, but they glow under a black light. I thought, but now know it’s the Army Worms causing the spread of diseases in my plants too! I am starting to use Beneficial Nematodes along with lady bugs so I can avoid using chemicals. I’ll use those too, only if necessary. Everyone always says the diseases come from the soil touching the leaves. This year I grew all 65 plants in straw bales, only a little soil, IN THE BALE! Everyone I talk to had a “bad year” in this area. My plants are 10’ tall, minimum and producing tons of tomatoes, but the Army Worms are AWFUL! Where ever they are boring holes into tomatoes the plants are unhealthy with Septoria etc. Sucks! Loving straw bale planting but the worms need to go! I am starting treating with Nematodes tomorrow but plan
