Hey guys, Andre the farmer here. And one of the things that I don’t like to to hide from people is my mistakes. And I’m going to give you an example of a mistake that I made. It’s not a huge mistake, but it’s a bit of a mistake. So this is a these are Namwa bananas. Now, all of these stocks you see here are the same plant. They’re just different stocks of the same plant. Ideally, what you want to have is you want to have one grandfather plant. You want to have one that’s the father plant. Then you want to have one that’s the sun. If you let your bananas sort of just grow, a lot of times you’ll get three that are basically the same size. And when that happens, it’s going to take a lot longer for the tree to produce fruit because now the plant’s focusing on growing these big stocks. So, it took a long time for that rack over there to first come out because I’ve got three the same size. Now, all threes will produce racks eventually, but I’ve definitely slowed down the rate of production by allowing three to grow at the same time. So, what I did is I actually just removed three pups out of here because what I want now going forward is for this to be the next grandfather, this to be the next son, the next father, and we have a little one right here that’s going to be the next son. All right, hope that clears up bananas for you guys. All right, see you. Bye.

Yup, that aligns with how I've learned to treat bananas and pineapple plants.
I enjoy your enthusiasm so much !
Are you going to replant the pups in another location? I would love to take them off your hands.
Oh, I see 🤔. This is good information. So will you remove the oldest ones?
I wish I could grow bananas. I would need a heated greenhouse.
Just planted my first banana plant. I'll bear this in mind.
Your banana trees like palm trees in height. I am more familiar with Gros Michel and lacatan!
It's not father and son, it's mother and daughter. The main plant is a mother plant. No son.
Maiden mother crone type stuff
Can’t wait for my first bananas to produce fruit. I have two, one has taken off well and has small pups. While on the other corner one was not growing well kind of fleshy soft skin I cut to the ground and is growing strong now. I thought I’ll loose it but they are like grass pretty strong as long as the roots are good! 😍 my parents have some and the hummingbirds love the purplish flower for its sticky nectar a plus!
Bananas are tough. Been trying 3 years no racks and a lot of mistakes.
Does this mean if I have just one banana tree that it won’t ever produce fruit do I have to have three?
Sharing your mistakes helps everyone learn. I really appreciate you 🙏
Oh my gosh. I planted a banana that I bought from Lowes. I put landscaping bricks around it. It grew. Made babies. None of them have gone outside of the landscape bricks. Not one is making bananas. I’ve been so mad at it. But now I’m thinking that it’s my fault. Have you experienced this? I said some really mean things to them. Should I be apologizing? (Yes, I talk to all of my plants. I have no friends and I like it that way 🙅♀️😁)
Male trees do not produce fruit. So why are you referring to them using masculine pronouns?
Banana planting sounds really really complicated, well done for being so cool with plants you must have studied a lot 🎉🎉🎉
Little banana babies are called "kaiki" pronounced "cake ee"
Means child in Hawaiian 😊
Thank you
