Did the plant gods decide "WHY NOT BOTH, you deserve it!" ??
I think my rubber plant has both spider mites and thrips. At first, I thought I was over watering, then I thought it was thrips and the webs were just from the spider I found on the wall, but now looking closely maybe it's both? I saw long white things and I only found a few black spots (possibly thrip poop), and the last photo you can see tiny webs. None of it was moving though and the white stuff didn't seem alive (mite castoffs?). Could it be both? I don't actually see any bugs moving or anything. Or am I going crazy and just over watering it?

It's in a very bright area getting 8 hours of sunlight with lots of other plants, so far I only see my jade plant shrivelling up and that brown hardness to it- possibly by the same thing. I use just regular house plant soil and sometimes even dollar store soil 😅. I've had my rubber plant forever and it's been a rollercoaster…I'm fighting the urge to just nuke it with all the insecticides, diatomaceous earth, lint roller and wipe the leaves, cut off any non healthy leaves, repot… halp
