I had this monstera and a few scindapsus cuttings in sphagnum moss for one day when I had the bright idea to put it outside in full sun. I thought it would be a good thing so it would be warm 😭 now they are all darkened. They don’t feel squishy or anything. Is there still hope that these will grow or is it just not going to work anymore? This is my first time growing in Moss, I’ve always done water propagation.

Well, you’re absolutely screwed, so it’s best to use moderate indirect sunlight next time, and since you’re new to moss propagation, I suggest that you use perlite and rooting hormone instead, for lightning fast results

The burn on the Monstera stem shouldn’t affect propagation other than the fact that photosynthesis is reduced.

  3. Don’t worry, when I first got into plants I put a nepenthes hamata cutting that I paid $120 for in a bag in the south facing window in the middle of summer and it dried to a crisp within a few hours haha. Still one of my dream plants years later
