The large one in front is a lily and should be tossed ASAP

toss that big yellow lily! highly toxic to pets. wipe down all around the vase because the pollen is toxic too

That’s a rose, a gerbera and a lily. Honestly I’d get rid of all of them because the lily is poisonous including its pollen. If there is any lily pollen on the other blooms that could be bad.

    To add:

I did think it looked like a lily, hence I posted here. Her “plant app” says it’s a “hippeastrum petiolatum” which is also toxic but not nearly as toxic as lily.

Edit: And yes, we’ve tossed it.

Tossed the bunch, wiped down and mopped everything in the vicinity. Thanks.

We have two cats and for years we put out flowers both toxic and safe. I honestly think the animals know what is bad for them. They will much the leaves of the plants that are safe and completely avoid the toxic.

Yes lily put it outside . Even the pollen can get on there fur. Beautiful and very dangerous 😢

Im usually pretty chill with most plants labeled as toxic to cats since most of them only makes them throw up and etc. the only flowers that I will absolutely not let into the house are lillies; because they’re UBER toxic and will kill your cat

There are some lilies I can not STAND the smell of. Apparently it’s a genetic thing, like cilantro (which I like). I remember my Mom bringing home a big bouquet of them, I had to leave the house.
Worse, they’re often at funeral homes and such – paying my respects has a high price!

Get rid of them! The lily is toxic to cats and the pollen can contaminate the rest

Sometimes when my partner does this I’ll put the vase on my patio so I (and the cat) can admire them through the window. They wilt much faster, but at least we get a few days

That’s a lilly and you should 100% get it out of the house away from your cat . They are especially poisonous to cats . If I’m remembering correctly it’s a neurotoxin that can cause seizures.

Damn them partners and their romantic gestures! How dare they

Considering it’s on the table and it’s unsanitary as they would track urine and fecal matter where they go- I’m assuming you don’t let cats on the tables or countertops, as you should, so it really shouldn’t matter. You should appreciate your partners intent more importantly!

Yes please Ross or give to someone else without cats. My best friends kitty does this way it was absolutely devastating

Next time you feel like doing a craft project consider making a vase holder you can hang on the wall way out of reach of your cats.

  17. My flower loving people, please be careful with any flower around cats due to variety of pesticides sprayed on them upon arrival in the States.

That lily is poisonous to cats and because it been in the water with the other flowers that bouquet has to go since even the lily stems in the water is poisonous to cats and other blooms had been absorbing it

My family member’s cat almost died recently from exposure to lilies. They are very harmful to cats.
