Zone 6a. Southern Michigan. It’s been 17 days. What are other steps now? Can I do any weed control or fill in bare spots? Are we doing just water now and nothing until spring?

Do you have weeds that need control?

Fall is for Nitrogen. Some say the Nitrogen Blitz. Some say 1 pound per month.

    Get a soil test.

    Mow often.

Enjoy the nice looking yard. Good work!

  2. Push it with fertilizer so that it starts to fill in more. Mow often to encourage spreading. Water deep and infrequently. Crack a beer and sit down and look at it.

Mow. Then in 2 days mow again. Repeat.

Dust them with some fertz if you haven’t yet. But other than that, just watch them mature into tuffs of blades in summer.

  5. Id be burning a joint just looking at that beautiful lawn.

Great job OP! Just water and maybe apply nitrogen after your first or second mow.

enjoy until you have to do it all over again next year!

Push more growth in a week and root development.

Now you go “Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!”

  10. Looks good! Couple spots, but not bad. Keep it wet, and feed it. You’re good.
