ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – In its most recent feature, “The Most Beautiful Garden You Can Visit In Every State,” HGTV names Anderson Japanese Gardens as the most beautiful in Illinois.
Within its 12 acres, Anderson Japanese Gardens features winding pathways, waterfalls, koi-filled ponds, stone and foliage. It is designed to reflect classic Japanese gardens.
“This recognition by HGTV deeply honors our team, volunteers, supporters, and all who believe in the power of nature, art, and design to uplift,” said David Anderson, Founding Family Member, Anderson Japanese Gardens. “For years, we’ve sought not merely to create a beautiful garden, but to offer a place of peace, reflection, and connection for the community. HGTV’s acknowledgment reinforces that we are achieving that mission.”
The gardens open at 9 a.m. daily through the middle of November at 318 Spring Creek Road. There is also an on-site restaurant called Fresco, offering breakfast and lunch at 8 a.m. daily.
