I don’t even know what kind of plant it is, I got it from a friend two years ago and it was doing well. I was going to repot it to a bigger pot soon too.
I don’t water often, I wait for the dirt to be fully dry. And the plant is right in front of a window, where it seems to thrive. I think the branch fell from the weight?

It looks zebrina ish. Stick it in a jar of water and it should root in no time.

This may be some kind of tradescantia. Generally putting a cutting with one node it into water works for propagation.

Take a little more than half of the leaves off from the bottom of the stalk up, leave them to harden for 24hrs on a barely damp paper towel. Get the soil you are going to use, wet it, then take the soil up into a ball and squeeze it out in your hands so that it is very lightly damp. Plop the bare ends into the soil and put the whole getup in a bright shaded spot. Don’t water it for at least a week. Bing, bang, boom, done.

it’s a tradescantia, just cut into a few pieces and stick them in water, a week later you’ll have new plants

Sphagnum moss is a good middle ground between water and soul
