I planted this about 2 months ago and the plants have grown well. But, no blossoms and no okra. Am I being impatient or could something else be going on? Maybe somethings eating it (although no obvious signs, other than no okra). Thank you. Rich

The first issue is that there are way too many plants in container that’s too small. You need maximum one plant in that container and to fill it up all the way with soil and heavily fertilize. They’re competing for space and nutrition. Second, where do you live? Was it the right time to plant okra? In the northern hemisphere it was probably too late in the season unless you live somewhere really hot.

Assuming you’re in the Northern Hemisphere, you needed to plant that okra about five months ago, each in their own large pots. Okra need time, heat, and fertilizer, and its far too late in the season to plant them.

Okra plants need a lot of space and a lot of heat. I planted it early in Texas enough times to know that it’s not going to really do much until the 95 degree days hit and stick around for weeks.

As mentioned. Waaay too many plants in one pot. Not enough soil.

    5 gallons minimum per plant.
