It was about to hit the ceiling, and also lost all its lower leaves when I went on a 2 week vacation and it dried out too much.

    Sorry but this isn’t going to keep any significant amount of the pole moist. Cotton wicks can usually lift water only ~12–18 inches effectively before gravity and evaporation overcome them.

  8. This is genius! Thank you for sharing this. One of the problems I have with moss poles, at least at home, is that it is so hard to water them.

    So just continue to do this once every other month when it outgrows the pole! I’m done with melanos they grow too fast for me and I can’t stay on top of the maintenance. Yours looks amazing though!
