A spectacular outdoor art experience featuring works by Sunshine Coast and Hinterland artists will return to Buderim this October, transforming an intimate gallery and quiet garden into a creative wonderland.

The 28th annual Sculpture Garden exhibition will run from Saturday October 11 to Sunday October 19 at Buderim Craft Cottage, drawing art lovers from across the region to admire one of the largest annual group sculpture and pottery exhibitions in Australia.

With around 200 pieces on display, many designed especially for outdoor settings like courtyards and gardens, the exhibition is expected to attract more than 1000 visitors from across south-east Queensland.

The second weekend of the exhibition will coincide with Buderim’s Spring Garden Festival, offering visitors a perfect pairing of horticulture and art.

Among the featured artists is Maleny sculptor Deidre Phipps, pictured, known for her whimsical sculpted ladies that bring a touch of personality and humour to garden spaces.

Held in the Atrium Gallery at Buderim Craft Cottage, 5 Main Street (between the War Memorial Hall and St Mark’s Church), the exhibition is open daily from 9am to 4pm. Entry is free and all works are for sale.
