Planta is telling me to water him every 5 days or so. I have a plant light on about 12 hours a day. My room is 74-80⁰F. Not directly under the AC, i do have a ceiling fan.
I cant put him outside because of the cats and other pests so ginger has to stay indoors..

I read they needed loamy soil with lots of drainage so i took some loamy soil from outside and mixed it with loads of perlite and regular soil, so thats what hes got right now.

I learned recently that youre supposed to LIGHTLY water them, not drench the soil.. which i had been doing. And the rhizome was covered more than it shouldve been.. and he was right under the plant light..

I just teased the roots and replanted him in soil that wasnt wet to the touch from the poor watering.

I just wanna know whats gonna happen to him? With the browning edges like that, now on most leaves, what will happen to those ones? Is he gonna die?

Now that i changed the soil out and im giving him more indirect light, will he make it through?
Do i have to start again with a new node :(?

You’re going to struggle to grow it indoors regardless, sorry.
