In the landscaping industry I’ve heard It called “artillery fungus” because the caps burst off as they mature, launching the little beads into the air. They’ll cover the siding of a structure and aren’t easy to get off. The ones in the photo have already “fired.”
Just another name for birds nest fungi, btw.
