Why would I spend $50 in the grocery store buying produce when I could spend $1,000 and spend hundreds of hours growing my

  1. Again, I don’t know where your numbers are coming from. Please evaluate every expense and let us know where you’re coming up with these thousand dollars you are wrong. I think maybe there is a lack of ambition.

  2. Hopefully the investment lasts a number of years, food for the soul and zen time, but yes it cheap, my 12*8 green HSE at £1200 is my conservatory complete with bistro table ,cheaper than £30000 conservatory

  3. Because you're an idiot apparently. Seeds for a suitable vegetable garden will cost you less than $50 and you don't need anything but a shovel and a yard with dirt and the knowledge of how to grow vegetables… You really don't need all that fancy stuff… You can make your own compost, and you can use saplings or bamboo to make pea trellises or fencing

  4. Way worth it year by year.
Don't forget to prune your fruit trees. Keep them small and ultra productive.

  5. It's healthier, financially cheaper in the long run, makes you less dependent on supply chains or maybe its because they just taste better when you do it on your own? Plus the sense of accomplishment

  6. OMG, that is so me. I spend so much on fertilizer, supplements, water, time, and get one cucumber and one zucchini. And get to see the birds eating the baby green beans!!!

  7. It's a pleasure to watch nature… eat what nature gives you, and it is pure, why would I spend money for chemicals and genetic mix ups!!.. The taste also is amazing … 😊

  8. You would do it because you love it and it would be the beginning of you becoming self-sufficient. We all need to know how to grow our own food and our children need to know too!

  9. Letting tomato’s sit on the vine and fully ripen is something that you typically can’t find in a grocery store, and I know mine are pesticide free.

  10. Healthier for you! Fresh air! Scheduled activity bending lifting squatting farmer’s lunges better than cross fit and therapy! And you get tomatoes and beans and squash you can’t buy at the stores only available in seed catalogs! Win win win

  11. If you're spending that kind of money and do not get the output from your garden that exceeds the grocery store by 100 full then you don't know what you're doing
