I use Excel so I can put it in a table format so I can sort by name, temp range, location etc

I have an excel of all of them. This way I have more info about each plant like: Location, date of acquisition, fertilizing date, highland/lowland (for nepenthes), type for drosera etc. I find excels more organized.

I type them up on a typewriter and use a code system to track parentage.

I prefer physical records even though you can condense it more with excel or other software. I have a roto-directory that attaches the codes to specimens, parentages, and place of origin if known.

It takes a little more work to set up but I use Airtable. It’s currently free to set up a database for simple, non commercial stuff and allows you to add pictures! There is an iOS app too. It’s great and I should probably do a video at some point on this.

I write them out on paper I don’t no why it’s easier for me but it is I’m going to implement a code system to make the labels on the plants easier
I do like the pictures that go with yours it adds an extra level of protection if a label gets lost

I only have like 3 of each type, and they’re all distinctive, so they’re all easily identifiable.
