Hi there, I’m building some IBC beds. I was going to do half wicking and the other half ‘normal’. Wicking I understand. But for the “normal”, how does one drain water out?
Instead of having your overflow at the top of the reservoir level for a wicking bed, you would punch (lots of) holes in the bottom so no water is retained
wickingbed
IBCs have a large threaded opening in the top. The opening will be at the bottom once the IBC is cut in half and turned upside down. Perhaps leave the cap off the opening to create a drain.
