Have you ever bought a plant you aren't particularly enamored with because it's in your favourite genus. I bought this MCColleys Finale a few weeks ago for the simple fact it's a Philo and I had some spare change (it was only £6. Did I like it?, no., did I want a Mccolleys?, again no. In my head I didn't overly like the bronze the leaves, however it's a Philo, it was £6 I'd spend more on a cup of coffee so I lifted it and whilst it's still a small plant this has grown on me exponentially, it is on the landing of my stairs and so I see it several times a day and it's now high up in my favourites list I even bought it it's own chair lol. What's your buy or inherited plant that you didn't want but fell in love with?

Wow !!
Love the different colours. Its gorgeous! What philodendron is this? Id love to have one in my collection
This is gorgeous. It’s on my wishlist.
I always wanted varigated plants. I had them but they got destroyed by thrips. Only Burle Marx Variegata survived. I didn’t want to buy expensive plants anymore so I just got the usual cheap plants – monstera, Billie…. They grew on me, I love them.
I was gifted a cutting of a variegated Epipremnum pinnatum once that looked really sick and ugly. Its leaf was ripped in half and there was almost no variegation visible. As of now, it’s over 3 feet tall and has huge fenestrations. Still very low variegation but oh well. Still beautiful!
