I wanted to share this because I found it quite interesting.
Back in May, my wife and I went to Brazil to visit our parents and enjoy the holidays. Unfortunately, during a checkup, my wife found out that her retina was detached and she needed urgent surgery. We had to stay longer in Brazil.
After two months, I had to return to Ireland because of work. Thankfully, my wife’s recovery went really well, but she still needed to stay in Brazil for a while.
When I got back, I saw that our spring onions had died. I removed the dead ones and started watering them again. The spring onions began to grow back, but to my surprise, a different plant also started growing. After a while, it grew a few more centimeters, so I asked ChatGPT what it might be. It said it was probably a sunflower. I didn’t believe it at first—how could a sunflower seed end up there?
After another month, it had grown even taller, and ChatGPT was certain it was a sunflower. Our theory is that one of the pistachio shells my wife had thrown into the spring onion pot had a sunflower seed in it. The funny thing is, that was back in May, and I only started caring for the pot again in July.
So now I have this beautiful sunflower that seemed to grow out of nowhere. 🌻

I love this story but not the part about your wife’s retina. Hope her recovery goes well!
The sunflowers are so robust compared to the delicate flowers that we all usually love and admire…. I truly hope that the sunflower’s robustness brings you joy and positivity in your life.
Love it
