My backyard has uneven sloped terrain and large tress that block most of the sunlight, how can I fix it to create space for a garden?

Would section off the back half for a garden like need to make sure there is sufficient sun though

Shady backyards with uneven ground can still shine adding shade-tolerant plants like hostas, ferns, or hydrangeas along with a simple stone path helps break up the slope and create usable garden space. Raised beds or curved borders also give structure where grass struggles. Figure out why they covered that area with fabric and mulch. That area looks sunny so it seems like a reasonable place to grow something – yet somebody felt compelled to cover it.
