This is from a hybrid seed I found at Gurneys, grown using Charles Wilber’s method adapted for my location in Oregon. The bigger fruits are all about 1.5 lbs. I planted 12 different varieties (the rest open pollenated/heirloom) using this method and even though it’s quite a bit of work making cages and pruning/training to 18 leaders each, I may continue the method with another 12 plants next year. Once I reach the end of the season, I’ll report on how the method did overall compared to my cattle panel trellis plants. So far, it is no contest in the yield department. Mr. Wilber is winning, hands down.

Those tomatoes look incredibly beautiful. My chaos gardened tomatoes (east bay, california) taste great but they have a ton more pest and disease damage
