They always say it’s a sign of good soil health if you have moles. I’ve heard British Farmers say that on many occasions.

They’re using that bucket as a command post. Expect ‘the big push ‘ just before dawn

Use the soil to start seeds and pot up some plants. The moles are doing you a favour by supplying some decent soil.

just spread it around and the grass will pole through it soon enough

I have them in my lawn. The solution is, each hill, and there are many, will be levelled and firmed in spring.
Then I’ll sow a limestone and chalk meadow mix (EM6 from Emorsgate seeds). Each new spot will contain lots of wildflowers and grasses (some annual, some perennial) and will be perfect for no mow May and beyond.

Get a wind spinner (the long ones on a pole) shove the pole down into the hole (get many) the vibration freaks the moles out, should work! Worked for our lawn and next doors every year!

Get some traps and place between two hills, the run is only couple inches down

I only seen them on a country side walk and waited ages…do they actually come out story/comic book style hugging the little mound of earth?🥹

Do you mind them? I’d feel blessed if they were on my property. Please work with them rather than kill them.

I’m sorry but when you have soil as beautiful and as black as that I have little sympathy and only jealousy.
