Your current pot looks just about right for that plant. Semi miniatures rarely need more than 2.5 inch pot

Waaaaay too big!
If you want to put it in a bigger pot you would have to do it gradually; the roots can’t handle so much dirt, and it will get root rot, they prefer to be root bound as well.
Every year when it’s time to repot (and refresh the soil), you can move up 1” in pot size; depending on the type of AV, you won’t exceed 4” to 6”.
Your AV seems to be in a 2” pot (?), so you can put it in a 3”.

My experience … AVs do better in small pots when bottom watered because it saturates all the soil with water .. but if you do a pot that is ‘too big’ it takes more water to get ‘up’ to the roots potentially over watering. Sooo… the pots I have are technically ‘too big’ BUT I do TOP water just carefully. And I don’t saturate all the soil. The plants seem to do very well. ….is it ideal?… maybe not… but it’s the size pots that I have and the only way I can water at the moment.
I DID just order a cool squeeze water bottle with a fine tip (one you might see for cleaning wounds in a dr office)… I’m hoping it works out well for watering between the leaves :D! Can’t wait to try it out!
