CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Home and Garden Show at the Hilliard Center took place Saturday, giving attendees a chance to explore the latest trends in design, meet with industry experts, and discover home improvement solutions.

One major attraction was a full-size park model RV from Dakota Cabins. The company’s owners say the RV is a new housing option built to feel like a traditional home.

“These shows are a fantastic option to show different people just the different scope of what is even possible to kind of break out of the mindset of, ‘We can only live in a house, we can only live in an apartment’ and to find that there are options out there that are affordable and long-lasting,” one representative said.

To close out the day, Chief Meteorologist Alan Holt took the stage to share insight on the upcoming hurricane season and remind attendees about the importance of being prepared.

The show continues Sunday at the Hilliard Center.
